It began waaaay back in League of Champions #13, where we saw NIGHTWIND's arch-enemy, the notorious MOONWRAITH,
successfully capture the Black Rod of Faerie, the legendary rod of death.
But as Moonwraith is about to learn, that rod is virtually useless unless it can be powered by four other rods.
In the super-sized 52-page comic book 20th issue of League of Champions, our heroes are joined for the first time by the fun-loving FANTASTIC GIRL, and take on the task of tracking down those other four rods to keep them out of Moonwraith's hands.
There's still quite a bit of work to do on this issue, but we do have a few pages of Henry Martinez artwork for you to peruse, and you can place an advance order for this issue.

It's a GRAPHIC NOVEL collection of one of the LEAGUE OF CHAMPIONS' greatest adventures, when fully THIRTEEN of the world's greatest heroes come together to defend the Earth against invasion by a consortium of the legendary LORDS OF CHAOS. It's a 168-page volume with a fabulous cover by Leo Cordeiro featuring a collection of the League's classic adventures from the pages of Champions v2 #3-8.
These tales were written by Dennis Mallonee, with artwork by Chris Marrinan, Dell Barras, Pete McDonnell, Benton Jew, and Walt Davis, and include the first appearances of ICICLE and SPARKPLUG, plus the origin of the fabulous FLYING FOX.
