Rod is a longtime fan of Flare and the Southern Knights, who hails from The Colony, north of Dallas. He's in his 40s, and works as a teacher. One of Rod's prized possessions is a copy of the Spider-Man Annual in which Mark Beachum made his debut as a comic book artist, and he says he's looking forward to the Sensational G Girl.
